Couldn't find this place at first as the entrance is from Millbank using a bridge over the canal. Nice enough pub but no ale to be had. Saw Giroud's goal whilst in there.

Formerly The Yard but now called The Crafty Sow. A large open plan pub. Its quite a nice pub to be fair though it is very Wetherspoonsy but without the beer selection. 3 cask ales on.

Soup Dragon left this review about The Yard

A terraced Smith & Jones riverside modern pub/eatery in a mock-warehouse design, in undressed brick, with patio area.

The interior is a single open plan room, with raised areas and a long serving bar to the left on entry. It is, like most of these places, set-up for food really - but i didn't eat so i can't comment on that. It is an upmarket version of the local Litten Tree, with a load of silent TVs showing the footy. The place has just re-opened after a refurbishment and i can say the decor is too busy for me to cope with; fake brick, wood panel, wallpaper with old adverts, plain greeny walls, green ceiling, pop-art wallpaper and strange pictures of people dancing with cow heads. Even the chairs are all irregular - one or two like the Prisoner chair of number 2, but comfy chairs, wood and white painted chairs - nothing the same at a table seemed to be the rule - you rebels! The service was OK, the clientele mixed. The music was bistro-ish but at a decent level.

Beer; tap stuff with Peroni and Erdinger. Three handpulls should have had Pedigree, Bombardier and Jennings Bitter, but non were in fact on, maybe it had re-opened a few days too soon. I had coke.

A personal hell for me, but worth a try if you like the modern, especially if you are after a decent priced menu - it has good continental lagers and should have (by now) three real ales.
