An astonishing building but I'm not sure it really works as a pub. The wrap-around windows allow lots of light in, so it's never going to be cosy, so whether you like this or not depends whether you prefer stark or hygge. (See my panoramic photo.) On the bar were six hand pumps with regulars in the shape of Timothy Taylor Landlord and Kirkstall Black Band, with four guests (which you can also see in my photos). The friendly bar staff offered me tasters and I settled on Black Sheep Twilighter IPA 3.9%, which was in good condition.

Modern semi-circular bar on the main crossroads of Meanwood, slightly different to most other Market Town Taverns being less traditional. 6 hand pulls and 8 on keg and no Okells for some reason. Like drinking in a goldfish bowl or stunning views of the traffic outside depending on your world view, well kept beer all the same.

Have been visiting this pub since it first opened. Initially the visits were enjoyable but now feel things have declined since it was taken over by a company in the Isle of Man. The beer quality has taken a turn for the worse and the prices have shot up. On a recent visit I tried a pint of Roosters Yankee and found it virtually undrinkable. At £3.24 a pint it was vastly overpriced. This was most disappointing especially having visited another pub nearby where the beer quality was far superior and not as expensive. Be a long time before I return to the East of Arcadia!
