The red brick frontage of this pub is rather deceiving. A you walk through the front door you're in a thoroughly modernised pub. Some high tables and chairs to the right. Comfy seating at the front left and also in the conservatory area to the rear. There's a beer yard out the back as well. The area at the front left is devoted to pictures of MG cars. The rest of the pub has lots of pictures of ploughs & ploughing which is rather more expected given the name. 5 handpumps on the bar serving Thwaites Wainwright, Doom Bar, a real cider and 2 guest ales. I had a half of Madness Lovestruck, which turned out to be cloudy, but tasted OK and was a rip off £2. I was served by a pretty blonde barmaid who seemed to have had a personality bypass operation. I've seen more life in a dead badger. So, a good looking pub, let down by poor beer quality and a lack of enthusiasm from the staff. Could be a 7 or 8 if they get it sorted.
