Alan Winfield left this review about Poachers Tavern
This pub was opened by Banks's brewery in the mid 80s and was originally called the Milestone and sold a decent pint of real ale.
When i went in here the pub was well furnished but looked a bit tatty around the edges,i went in the room at the back which is a lounge this was empty on a mid week dinner and there was also no real ale on here only keg beers so i had a drink of Guinness.
This pub seemed a bit sad so i hope things improve for this place.
