After reading on the Asby Parish website that the pub was currently closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, but open between 12 and 2:30 and again in the evening on other weekdays, and all day at the weekend, I decided to divert from a more orthodox route home from the Lake District and call in here. So it was disappointing to arrive at about 1:30pm on a Wednesday and find the pub closed. A note on display outside explained that they would remain closed on Monday and Tuesday until their staffing difficulties could be resolved, but this was definitely Wednesday! No mention on Facebook or website subsequently.
