The Cock Inn's pub sign, unusually, has a picture of a horse rather than a cockerel. There are two rooms in what I take to be the original pub, with the main bar room to the left and then some steps up to a further seating area in the building next door. There are three hand pumps on the bar (see photo) and I went for the Belgian Blue again, having just had a fairly poor half in the Pheasant; the beer was much better in the Cock, in fact probably the best condition I can remember for this beer last winter. This pub would be much better if they would lose the loud pop music. Sky Sports News was on the telly, but with the sound muted - what is the point of that? If people are interested they'll want to hear the sound, if they're not, why have it on at all?

This is a stone built pub in the middle of Oughtibridge.
it looked ok from the outside and was fairly smart inside but there was no real ale here which dissapointed me has the only bitter was John Smiths smooth crap which i find undrinkable so it was a Guinness here.
This pub is quite comfortable inside just a shame no real ale here.
