Aged-looking whitewashed stone building. Multi-roomed, family-friendly pub that has its own dedicated carvery area. Stone bar front with a Midlands language message across the top (see pic – points for translation!) which swings round to three rear rooms one of which has black and red chairs (how 1986!). Three ales on; Doom Bar, Bombardier and a good drop of Acorn Barnsley Gold. It’s nothing out-of-the-ordinary but is a decent enough stop.
