Only open for 4 hours on a Saturday and only then if City are at home. It's not a pub anymore, it's a pop up venue.

The first pub I was taken to by my supervisors after starting work in 1968. My factory can be seen just over the wall on the photo by Alan Winfield (The Wall I often had to climb over when late back and locked out when working weekends!). Our staple drink was Chesters Mild, with Threlfalls Bitter also available. On occasional recent visits, only keg Boddingtons was available, no wonder it was much quieter. It had an L-shaped lounge and a vault, served from a central bar.

The Bridge Inn is close to a canal and a large chemical works in an area of clayton where there ar'nt many houses.
The pub looked fairly smart outside and had a decent pub sign and it also had its Chester signs outside which i took to be a good sign.
Once inside the pub was fairly basic but seemed clean and well kept,i had a drink in the bar which was very quiet on my visit, there were two real ales on here i had a drink of Whitbread Chesters bitter and this was a very nice drink the other beer was Chesters mild.
I thought this was a decent enough pub.
