The pub is now an entirely food-led operation with every table set for diners on my visit. Fairly bland décor inside. Three cask, the Gower Gold was murky mess replaced after a Mexican stand-off which ended when the female barmaid overruled Mr Know-It-All. Replacement Doom Bar a bit warm and meh (NBSS 2). Salvation in there being three of the Pembroke Cider company’s wares in the fridge which was the much better option. Food is basic pub grub at pub grub prices and served with a pub grub ethos - order and pay at bar, get food, eat food, shove-off. The gents toilets was also really stupid design, really tight with tiny sink hidden under a shelf. The place served a need (food and drink at the end of a long day’s walking) but it didn’t offer anything that would entice me back again.

As described by Steve, this is yet another pebbledashed pub in an attractive area of Pembrokeshire, boasting a rather unusual cylindrical chimney. Early doors on a Tuesday lunchtime in September 2017, we were first in, and sat in the dog-friendly area to the right: the pub rapidly filling up with walkers and elderly locals. On the bar, three pumps operational, dispensing Triple Hop from Derby,GB from Nethergate growler, and Welsh Pride from Bragdy Conwy. The Triple Hop was selling well, and proved a decent pint. Not so impressed with the food, but heigh ho.

St Govan's Inn is a decent sized bed and breakfast pub restaurant located in the small Pembrokeshire Village of Bosherston and is well positioned for exploring the nearby NT Lily Ponds and just a short walk from the cliffs at St Govan's Head and the beaches of Broadhaven South and Barafundle.
It takes its name from the small medieval church which is located nearby halfway down the cliffs of a secluded headland.
Internally it is one large room in two sections, the left hand side being laid mainly for dining and the right side a more comfortable lounge area with sofa type seating. The walls are decorated with murals of local scenes and photographs known climbs on the nearby coastal rock faces.
There is also a front garden area with a few benches which is a good spot to catch the evening sun on a decent weather day.
There are six hand pumps on the bar and five were going at the time of our visit. These were Adnams Broadside, GK Abbott, London Pride, Gales seafarers and Brains Reverend James, and my pint of Seafarers was OK.
We didn’t eat here but it’s a perfectly fine spot to catch a pint after exploring the nearby Lily pond and beaches.
