Duffy’s Bar is a small sports bar with screens throughout for mainly football. The bar supports a solitary hand pump, which surprised me. Wainwright was the ale, alongside a standard and premium keg range. I went for a Guinness so I could pretend I was back in Kilburn. I like football and Guinness so this place is a winner for me.

A small corner bar. Very sporty with lots of football related memorabilia adorning the walls and not just Man U or Man City nonsense. Irish county flags are above the bar as you enter. An interesting feature was a signed dinner plate by Pete Postlewaite. Thwaites Original available on cask.

From the outside this pub looks like a fake Oirish bar. But once you get inside it's obvious that this is more of a football bar. It's nicely decorated with football shirts being displayed prominently along with lots of football related photos. Comfortable seating to the left as you enter and a few dining style tables in the other areas, there's also a dartboard to the rear. 80's music was being played at a reasonable volume to a mixed bunch of people, with high vis jackets in the majority. The Friday, early evening crowd were very affable, if a bit sweary. 4 handpumps on the bar, but only 2 beers on Thwaites Wainwright & Hydes Original. The Wainwright was a good pint, served by a chatty friendly barmaid. This bar was much better than I expected and I liked the place. I'll call in again next time I'm in Chorlton.
