Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Kingfisher

More 'modern' (as in 1960s) than most estate pubs in the area, this retains two separate bars (the front one with a pool table) but the basic refurbishments over the years have lost any character it may once have had. However, there was a big surprise here, with an operational handpump dispensing a reasonable pint of Hornswoggle from Froth Blowers (£3.20).

Soup Dragon left this review about The Kingfisher

A detached 60s style estate pub, with patio at the fron and a beer garden at the rear with covered smoking area.

The interior has two rooms. The bar is in red and white with wood panel and has a dart board and a TV, which had the news on. The lounge was for eating mainly and there was a value curry menu - we didn't eat. This room was mainly in white. There was little in either room in the way of pictures or ephemera, giving a bare feel to the place, though the lounge had a little fire place. The service was functional, the clientele few, but mixed and there was no music

Beer; all keg stuff, with a decent enough M&B MILD. No real ale.

A basic kind of place really, i would be happy to pop in for an odd MILD - i have been to much worse!
