The Albert is a small single room shithole of a pub with an old Irish clientele who were having a right old moan up during my recent Monday evening visit. With just about enough room to swing a cat, there is seating around the walls and a small bar counter sits behind Covid screens in the right rear corner. It feels more like a bookies than a pub, especially with Racing TV playing away. Standard keg and San Miguel were available from the apathetic woman working behind the bar. To be honest I thought I’d wandered into an episode of Father Ted. Not on my revisit list.

Small main road local with dodgy beer offers on.Called in one Tuesday lunchtime, where they had the usual suspects on offer, however there was one pump covered over with cardboard and in felt tip pen was written "Kelly's Surprise" dark smooth £1.75 a pint.Although slightly apprehensive of the makeshift pump clip decided to give it a go. Yes you will get a surprise alright as you are served with a pint of John Smiths at £2.10.As there were quite a few locals in close proximity to the bar area, declined not to comment as I knew what answer I would get,so I decided to quit while I was losing and headed off to Didsbury.

The Albert is a smallish pub that is in the busy shopping area of Withington, the pub looked fairly nice from the outside with a brown and green tiled front.
Once inside i went in the room at the front which was fairly small but decent enough, when i visited this pub it was a Wilsons tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Wilsons bitter and this was a decent drink the other beer was Boddingtons bitter.
