Steve C left this review about The Cooden Tavern (Cooden Beach Hotel)
The Cooden Tavern is the bar of the Cooden Beach Hotel that is found on the seafront next to Cooden Beach Railway Station. Picnic tables can be found around the exterior of this sprawling building and to the far left, opposite the large restaurant, there is a seating area that overlooks the beach. The Tavern is located in the right hand side of the building and is essentially a small bar on the left hand side of an L-shaped dining area. There are four hand pumps which were drawing 6X, Harveys Best and Bombardier with the fourth being unused and there is a limited standard draught selection. There was some low generic background music playing and on request the plasma screen was switched onto Sky Sports so that my group could watch England scrape through against Wales at Twickenham on Saturday afternoon a couple of weeks ago. The mains off the food menu come in at around the £10 mark and are served between midday and 21:00. I tried the £10 burger which was tasty, but very greasy and served in ciabatta which was not advertised to my knowledge. The wife was more than happy with her nachos and garlic bread so 7 out of 10 for the food.
I thought that the Guinness was good and the service was polite in a uniformed hotel staff way, but I wouldn’t visit this out of the way bar again.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Cooden Beach Hotel
Large seaside hotel with two bars open to non-residents. However, the main attraction is the patio beer garden (or Club Terrace as the hotel likes to call it) out front that is located directly on the edge of the beach and which provides a great spot for a drink if the weather is clement. The beer choice is pretty limited in the nearer (smaller) bar, but you can get a decent pint of Harveys for £2.90.
