E TA left this review about The Grim's Dyke Hotel

The Grim's Dyke is a beautiful old Tudor house set in large grounds. It has a restaurant as well as a bar and is aimed mainly at functions, but is a good place to drop in for a pint in quiet surroundings. It's the sort of place you take a client (or anyone, really) to impress them. Staff are pleasant and the gardens fantastic. Food is not at all cheap, so a snack lunch isn't really the thing to do here. They serve their beer (only one ale on usually - GK IPA) slightly too cold, but their wine is usually very good. Recommended for special occasions.
