Strongers . left this review about The Greenbank
The Greenbank has an L-shaped bar counter that faces the entrance to the front and seating to the left that was busy with dominoes players, this must be a Tuesday evening thing because this wasn’t the first pub in the area busy with old men tapping away. To the right of the entrance is a small front snug with a single high table and behind is an area with disco equipment. On the other side of the bar in the left rear is a dartboard and a half wall separates the bar area from a left hand room with a pool table and jukebox. This was off because Champions League football was on the televisions throughout. The draught selection is not great with only standard keg being available, but the pub was friendly so I’d have no issues popping back into the is local’s boozer if passing.

Malden man left this review about The Greenbank Hotel
This is a large and imposing building next to Greenbank station on the slow line between Manchester and Chester. The pub was once also a hotel, but the decline of importance of the passing railway and the rerouting of the main road to Chester onto the nearby fast by-pass mean that former glories are long gone. The old stables can still be seen to the rear. Nowadays this is a single room L-shaped sports oriented bar which mainly caters for the unsophisticated tastes of the residents of the adjoining Greenbank housing estate.
Several TVs are dotted about, upcoming football advertised, the left side of the "L" is dominated by a pool table. No real ale, amongst the usual keg options additionally there was Boddington's creamflow and keg Theakston's mild.
There is a basic but not pretty bit of garden to the side with the usual picnic benches.
