Large, late 60's-looking roadside pub, being thoroughly gutted when I walked past in August 2011.

The Hare and Hounds was an estate type looking pub but it was on a main road just down from the Crown and Anchor (now Stonegravels) pub.
Once inside the pub had the usuall two room layout,with a decent sized bar which had a pool table and darts booard in it,there was a seperate smarter lounge.
The pub was a Stones tied house when i visited it,there was a decent drink of cask Stones bitter on the bar.
This was a decent enough pub to have a drink in.
Sadly this pub has now closed down,the pub is still standing but has been converted into a steak restaurant and fish and chip shop called Chesters.
