This Station pub comprised of a seating area near the entrance. The bar area was up a few steps and positioned on the left hand side, with some booths opposite. I thought that was about it, until we discovered a further lounge area on the right, which overlooked the main Station Concourse. The staff were friendly and polite, four handpumps, with two in use serving Doombar, Green King IPA and Abbott. There was also an extensive choice of lagers.

Railway bars have never been one of my favourite drinking establishments by their very nature they rely on predominately passing trade and as such they never seems to have their own character, Beer House is no exception. As noted by the previous reviewer there isn't much structural changed however the decor is much more inviting (although not sure what "look" they are going for ) but its nice and light with bare light wooden floors , tiles and trendy wire lights, matching tables and a much cleaner toilet . It also has a pretty decent selection of beers with a few good tap varieties including West brewery (St Mungos) Stella, Heineken, Amstel, Bellhaven and more, in addition they have 4 real ales on tap (Green King IPA, Flying Scotsman, Speckled Hen and what looked like their own brand), and some great bottled/canned beers including Brew Dog Punk, Dead Pony etc - the downside though is it is NOT cheap in fact its expensive at £3.00 for a vodka and coke, £5 for Brew House £4 for real ale. Well worth a visit if your waiting for the train but if you have time I would pop into the Drum and Monkey, Toby Jug, or Pot Still (to be fair for a train station pub t is good but for a pub pub it could be better) Staff were nice as well when I visited.

Recently re-opened as the Beer House and although no structural changes seem to have taken place, a smart job has been undertaken, although I thought there might have now had a few more cask beers to choose from. There was still only 3 on and 2 of these had there clips turned around.
