Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about De Rodes Arms

Large, Crown Carveries outlet. Altered out of all recognition from its original form, with various extensions to side and rear. Typical modern corporate furniture and decor, as found in food-led edge-of-town pubs up and down the land. Two real ales available on handpump; Greene King IPA and (thankfully) the seasonal Everards Wonderland.

Had a fantastic carvery today at this pub. I booked a table and was glad I did, the place was very busy, had to queue for about 10 minutes to get a drink at the bar and pay for the meal. Everyone was extremely helpful and always smiling. The meal consisted of 4 types of meat and a variety of vegetables, all were nice and hot. Will definitely visit this place again. One of the best in the Chesterfield and surrounding area.

This pub is next to a busy island and is very popular with older people.
The pub is quite large inside with a long room set aside for diners and this was full at the far end there is a small bar area for people not eating this is where you get your drinks from there was only one real ale on which was Greene King IPA this tasted slightly sour.
The pub is fairly smart but caters mostly for peopls eating the carvery cost £3.59 which is very cheap and probably why the pub was so busy.
