Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Elms

I suppose I was expecting a new-build pub / restaurant beside the nearby Travelodge, but the road frontage has an older look than the hotel side. That said, it has standard Marston's modern furniture throughout the L-shaped layout. Anyway, I suppose it works well enough as a functional stop, albeit with just Banks's Amber (£4.05) from the bank of four handpumps.

A new build pub with a Travelodge behind and situated on a prominant roundabout with a large carpark to attract family diners. The interior is quite souless with fake beams, different sections but overwhelmingly corporate. The bar close to the entrance does have 4 handpumps offering from the Marston's portfolio on my trip Pedigee (fine ),Wychwood Dirty Tackle and Mansfield Bitter doubled up.Every table has pine furniture and is numbered so there is nowhere to escape diners.A carvery operates to the far right of the building,so I wandered as far away as I could get the other way to avoid the fumes of stewed vegetables.
Functional but very dull.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Elms

The Elms is a fairly large modern pub that is close to the M1 and is at the southern end of Lutterworth.
Once inside there was a large room with the bar facing, the room was divided into lots of different drinking areas, most of the seating was normal tables and chairs but there was an area with bench seating which was quite busy with drinkers on our early dinnertime visit.
The pub is a Marstons house and there were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Banks's bitter which was a nice drink, the other beer was Pedigree.
The pub opens at 9.00 for breakfasts and the menu says eat as much as you like, that semms a good deal to me.
We were happy enough having a drink in this pub.
