Hidden in trees down a little lane off the A821, the Byre is easily missed unless you are watching out for the turning. A small whitewashed building, presumably with cattle origins, houses a bar area with open timber roof and fireplace, and a slightly more ornate little restaurant behind. Outside there are decked garden areas and a petanque pitch. Food is of high quality, and three handpumps dispense ales. A lovely little hideaway.
