Soup Dragon left this review about Stafford Boat Club

A detached modern undressed brick build, with patio over looking the canal and moorings. Geberally, for security of the boats, the gates appraoching the club are locked and you have to buzz through to the bar to let you in and anyone visiting signs in the guest book, but it is open to non-members - me for example!

The interior had a couple of rooms, the one seemed to have a committee meeting going on, so i didn't go in there. The main room is like a function room, with a small stage and bar tables, with some general and some comfy chairs. The decor was cream and patterned golden wallpaper. There was a couple of pictures of the club house up on the walls, but going through a large arch to you to a red decored area, awash with boating memorabilia from all over the world. There is a wood panelled bar and comfy seats. The service was really friendly, as were the clientele and manager, who chatted to me to make me feel welcome, assuming that i was a boaty person.

Beer; usual tap stuff with Banks's MILD and an extra-cold version - i had the normal, and it was fine - also had a can of ginger beer, thirsty you see. There was Pedigree on handpull as well.

This was a quietish place and a real pleasure to visit after the clatter of the Radford Bank and Barley Mow at Milford. With just Pedigree, the real ale fans wont be battering the door down, but this serves its boating community well and locals do visit as an alternative to the other places. I wish you well.
