This was our 11th pub of a Chorley crawl, but was the first that couldn't accept my son. As such, I only had time for a very swift half. Being a Marston's pub, the ale range is limited to Wychwood Hobgoblin & Hobgoblin Gold & Marston's 61 Deep. My choice was the 61 Deep, which was ok, if not rushed out of necessity.
Looked a nice enough old boozer, which I didn't have enough time to explore. It is of course close to the railway and Chorley railway station.

A very traditional though opened out pub right next to the station (but of course). Seems to be owned by Marstons. Old Jennings signage remains outside. geared up for live music at one end of the pub, but it was a quiet place for a drink in the afternoon. Edith Piaf playing when I walked in was a very unexpected bonus. Really good pub.

This is a fairly decent boozer by Chorley train station. Basically open plan but with offset areas the pub has a very traditional feel to it. The servery is to your left, as noted, and to the right is a comfortable seating area. The six handpulls are still in use with beers still including Hobgob & Hobgob Gold, Bank's Sunbeam plus two Shipyard beers. The Shipyard Melonhead was good value at £2.30 a pint. I liked this pub.
