This is a JDW Hotel that is unhelpfully listed as Central Edinburgh in their directory, probably for "commercial reasons" as their PR bloke always says when they are trying to justify shutting an outlet down. Corstorphine is a few miles West of Haymarket and Murrayfield so don't be fooled.
It's a large rectangular room that is rather dark at the rear, the bar on the right and raised areas to the rear and left. Obviously being a hotel the toilets are on the Ground Floor.
There are just eight hand pumps here which on my visit had one unused, Abbot, Deuchar's IPA, Skye Red, Black Wolf Rok IPA and Williams Bros March Of The Penguins. I picked up a Penguin which came as part of a food deal but would have been £2.25. It was in excellent condition.
It's a good Spoons but their attempts to claim it as being in Central Edinburgh just because it's a hotel are pathetic and deceitful.

This is the story oh how his Wetherspoon pub / hotel got its name. An avenue of sycamore trees lined the road to Corstorphine Castle. One of the trees survived, until it was blown down in the winter storms of 1998. In its heyday the well-known sycamore tree was more than 55 feet high and over 12 feet round. In August 1679, James, Lord Forrester was murdered at the tree, by his mistress, Christian Nimmo. Her ghost, known as 'The White Lady', is said to haunt the spot where she killed her lover with his own sword. This pub won the Trip advisor 2014 Certificate of Excellence. As per the usual Wetherspoon there are plenty real ale to choose from and varied prices from less than £2.00 to less than £2.50. The service when I visited was excellent. It does help that it was only 08:00am on the Saturday morning, well away from the lunchtime crowds. There is seating outside at the front with large umbrellas to shelter under the sun when available. There are rooms available as this Wetherspoon is also a hotel. There is parking available at the right side of the pub at the rear.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The White Lady (JD Wetherspoon)

Initially appears to be a compact split-level bar but turns out to have been much extended to the rear. Usual 'spoons furniture and decor. Outdoor terraced seating area at the front. Operates as a hotel too. Five of eight handpumps working when I stopped by, with Knops East Coast Pale (£2.20) being the pick of the bunch.
