Oddly located down a side street (which eventually leads to a nice park) this is a single storey Spoons quite nicely decorated in cream and maroon with seating arranged round a central bar. Just two guest ales from Twisted and my Pirate was poor (NBSS 1.5). Place was also unkempt, which I can forgive when flat-out busy, but at 11.30am on a Sunday shouldn’t be hard to zap a few tables with the spray. Emblematic of Trowbridge as a whole really – down at the mouth. A shame, as it is set-up to be much better. Get down here Timbo and kick them up the arse.

Previously A Chicago Rock, the interior is described by others, below.  I would add that there are the usual mute gaming machines, manky carpet and sticky tables to give it that real JDW feel, while some noise from the gaming machines would have been welcomed if it had jammed the screeching brat that made everyone’s (well, those who can still hear) afternoon so complete.  The juxtaposition of the pub next to the Alzheimers Association office may be coincidental, or it may just be serendipitous for many of the clients.  Beers on were Doombar, Ruddles, Abbott, Autumn Season and Old Empire IPA, plus two draft ciders.  The beer was in reasonable condition, certainly drinkable.  Now the Sir Isaac Pitman has closed, this is the only JDW in town.  Not sure I’d rush back though.

This is a typical Lloyds that was fairly quiet on my late Saturday afternoon visit. It consists of a large high ceilinged room with an island bar some stairs at the rear that may just lead to the toilets. I'm guessing the Lloyds disaster area is the slightly raised area at the back. I asked if this one was up for sale and was told it isn't.
The bar here has two sets of five hand pumps which had the JDW Trio Of Doom doubled up, one available soon, two ciders and Castle Combe Doing Little Bitter, a pretty rubbish choice. I was eating here so went for the Devils Backbone keg beer as the "free" pint.
If they manage to sell off the Isaac Pitman then you would hope that this one may improve but at the moment it's only slightly better than the other JDW.
