This place was packed on our Sunday lunchtime visit. We were here more for a cheap roast dinner than any drinks. Although this does now appear to be the only place in Quinton where you can get real ale. I didn't bother, as Doom Bar was the ale of choice.

Food is good value, but it was simply too packed in here to enjoy it. All tables were taken and there were crowds of people in the bar area awaiting the next spare one, despite seemingly everyone having made a booking.

If you ever find yourself in Quinton, you would be well advised to pass straight through.

A large Toby Carvery, previously The Holly Bush, and well described by Soupy, below. The dreadful muzak was over-loud, uncontrolled children presented a trip hazard and the staff were slow and un-engaging. The front was littered and unappealing. There was only one ale on, Wainwright’s Golden Ale, which was hideously over-gassed, too cold and a chore to finish. The food looked drab and dry – a good appetite suppressant. I don’t think I’ll be coming back next time I’m passing.

Typical food pub with only Doom Bar on the beer front. If you aren't eating it isn't really worth the bother.
