The two large rooms to the right upon entering are set up exclusively for dining, with modern tables and chairs. It looks very smart but not very welcoming for the casual drinker, so I went round the corner to the small public bar. Unfortunately, the bar counter here is so small that there are no fonts or hand pumps, so back I went to the main bar. Here there were two Robinsons beers on hand pump, Old Stockport and Dizzy Blonde. I had the former, and it was OK, but a bit on the bland side, like most Robbo's beers.

I took my beer back to the smaller room and made myself comfortable in the only arm chair. There were a few small tables, stools and bench seating besides, but more than a dozen people would fill this room to bursting.

The White Lion is a nice looking stone built pub.
Once inside we went in a largish room that was geared up for diners but has drinkers we were made just as welcome in this room, there may have been other rooms but i did'nt look.
This pub is a Robinsons tied house and there were three real aels on the bar i had a drink of Robinsons bitter and this was a very nice drink the other beers were Hatters mild and Hartleys XB.
This pub was ok for a quick pint but is not a pub i would stay in any longer.
