No rating given because apart from buying the drinks I was either in the back yard, where there are a dozen or so tables, or in the playground on the green behind the pub supervising my two-year-old grandson. I wasn't impressed with the bar maid telling me the house beer was the most popular before pulling me a pint of something that looked a little stale - so may have been in the pipes for four or five hours - and didn't taste much better (NBSS 2, £5.80/pint); I went back for a Robinsons Unicorn which was better - my daughter had a half of Dizzy Blonde but no good asking her opinion as she had lemonade in it. Maybe I'll come back another time, but I'm not a big fan of Robinsons beers, so it's quite likely I won't.

Took a taxi from Bakewell to visit this pub, which was only a fiver. Well worth it, as the food is excellent and not over-priced. Enjoyed a selection of Robinsons Ales on handpump. Staff and owners very friendly. This pub is set in a picturesque village, so will definitely call again.

The Bulls Head is a very nice looking pub that is set well back from the road it is one of two pubs in this really nice looking village.
Once inside there are two rooms the room we had a drink in was very comfortable and had a cosy feel to it.
This pub is a Robinsons tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Robinsons bitter and this was a very nice drink the other beer was Robinsons Hatters mild.
I thought this was a very nice pub and i would have happily stayed here all day.
