A detached Georgian-styled undressed brick Banks's pub, with patio area. It looks like a former farmhouse.
The interior has a couple of rooms. The lounge, where we went, is in white, green and patterned wallpaper, with a brick fireplace, a few photographs and prints on the walls and a few plates scattered about. It is set-up for food and there is an inexpensive menu, but we didn't eat, so can't comment on the food. The bar room was where all the clientele, seemingly locals, were congregated. It is in a white artex and white and beam ceiling decor, with a large fireplace at one end; again, there were plates and prints for interest. The service was fine. I didn't see a TV and the music was general easy listening at a very soft level.
Beer; tap stuff with Marston's Sweet Chariot, Banks's Bitter and a decent Banks's MILD on handpull.
An all over decent country pub, in which the area is quite rich - worth a pop into if around.
