I'm not sure as to what to make of this place. Its obviously more foodie than beery and its not very pubby. I don't think it cares too much about being pubby and whilst there is a much better place nearby I somehow didn't mind this place despite it not being pub like. Anyway, its on 3 levels, serves food and has 3 handpulls dispensing Bowland beers. Would I return? Probably not.

This former Methodist Hall is now owned and run by James' Place, who now own Bowland Brewery and other prestigious properties around the locality. Once through the doors, I found a decent sized bar along the left hand side of what was originally the main entrance hall. There was also a lounge area on the left of entrance and a decent sized area where the bar is located. The décor was a mix of different Asian cultures Thai, Indian and Tibetan. Looking at the eclectic mix of furniture and antiquities, we then realised that these items were all for sale with price tags attached.
The first and third floors were similar in style, and incorporated a brasserie with the third floor housing another small bar. Back to the main bar, there was three handpumps with two in use, serving Bowland Hen Harrier and Bowland Double Deckerdence. We went for the Bowland Double Deckerdence, which was in top condition.
