Like most Harvesters, this pub is huge with the vast majority of the pub being set up as a restaurant. The bar side is large enough and the beer garden is also big and split into three different sections. All of the ashtrays were dirty and there was crisps and ash on most tables and one had a broken glass on it. Probably not the sort of garden I would want my kids running around in on a sunny afternoon.
Pride is the only ale that I spotted and it was off during my visit yesterday afternoon so I had to settle for a pint of overflowing Guinness served in an almost clean glass. Standard lagers are also available alongside Strongbow, Bulmers, San Miguel and a couple of smoothflows from Tetleys and Greene King.
The barmaid was very friendly and the restaurant was very busy for Monday lunchtime, but I still think that the management could do with putting in a little more effort with keeping the place clean and tidy.
I wouldn't go out of my way to drink here again.
