Now under new ownership this village local is now receiving a much needed revamp. The interior has been modernised and tidied up without the pub losing it's soul. You enter the pub, recessed behind a terrace of hamstone houses, via a small outdoor seating area. The interior is not massive. The bar sits to the left of the L shaped room, with locals sitting there and more tables down the side more for Dining. Two beers were on, Branscombe best was a little flat and tired and Doom Bar, which was in better condition. Hopefully the villagers will support this pub in its new incarnation. Not sure how the walking group gave it 10/10 in its previous state.

Really well kept family run village pub. Some how manages to keep the balance between a really good 'local' and an excellent food pub.
