I came here to the minor institution that is the Bunghole Cellars, in the early noughties and recall it being quite a traditional place, us sitting upstairs, me getting a pint of ESB from the then Ye Olde cellar bar, served in a pewter tankard with a glass bottom. The experience was novel enough, though I wouldn't want it to have been a weekly one.

This is a cellar bar with a selection of wines and Old Wallop ale on offer. It's more a place for business men and their secretaries than pub goers out for a good night. Food is served and there is a restaurant attached, but I have never eaten here or in any other Davy's chain wine bar so I cannot comment on the quality or value for money.
Like other establishments in this chain I do not plan to revisit.
