This is an interesting detached pub, restaurant and hotel, with patio (front and back) that is in the GBG. It is spread over three or four buildings (the hotel is in a separate area), which the pub claim to the 17th century. The core may well be - but the OS maps have it growing organically from the 1870s onward. The interior has three areas; the restaurant is at one end and is modern, being in white, with a pinkish chimney and bistro art. The bar is in the middle. It is in stone and white, with a white and beam ceiling and is part partitioned with a middle dividing wall. There is a pool table here and some landscape art on the walls - the TV wasn't on and there was no music. At the far end there is the lounge; again, in white and stone. There is also a TV here (not on), along with old photos, a burner fire and those darn twigs. They do food, but we didn't eat so can't comment on that. The service was fine and the place rammed with holidaymakers. Beer; usual tap stuff with the following Gower Brews on handpull; Gower Power, Best Bitter, Gower Gold, WPA, Brew One (fine), Samson Jack and MILD Winter (both too cold and fizzy) - also had a real cider. A nice place, but the brewery beer isn't really to my taste - mind you, it was very hot. Would definitely go back though.
