E TA left this review about Skye Bar
Currently The Skye Bar, this historic boozer (Micheal gives the succession of previous names below) has become a dire single-room drinking hole with no real ale. Alcopops and other rubbish is purveyed to the unimaginative, while the presence of clouds of CO2 vapour fails to provide anything resembling an atmosphere. The noise from the sound system was awful. Even the bouncers looked bored, probably because there were no customers other than us, while the bar staff were actually quite good humoured. How on (or indeed above) Earth does this place survive? I doubt I shall return.

Michael Wright left this review about V Bar
From Victorian times it was the Yorkshire Grey, then it was renamed as O'Neill's by Bass Taverns in the mid 90s, then became The Walk Inn and latterly has become the V Bar
No idea what it is like, the original Yorkshire Grey was just a boozer
