Old Boots left this review about The White Swan

I remember this pub a few years ago as a characterful two bar village pub, near the famous posh catholic public school. Something of that original flavour remains in the front bar with quarry tiles, thin decorative beams, pictures of local sporting teams etc, but the rear has been extended into a large dining area and the emphasis is now mainly on food. Service was as slow as you would expect where food orders compete with the bar. John Smiths Cask and Black Sheep Bitter as the ale choice with a fairly regular keg line up. The Black Sheep was too cold and still green. We didn't eat there but judging by the quantity of left overs on one table that may have been wise.
