Alan Winfield left this review about The Gate Inn

This pub used to be called the Gate and it was an Home Ales tied house.
The pub has now been altered inside and it has got a modern look to it i went in the longish room at the front of the pub which was empty on my visit there maybe other rooms but i did'nt look.
I was surprised to see two real ales on here i had a drink of Red Brick Shire Ale and this was a very nice drink the other beer was Jennings Fish King.
