Al Bundy left this review about Yates's
As with the other Yates's in the city centre this another Wethers wannabe. There were 3 handpumps serving a bog standard choice of ales. Large mostly open plan there was an upstairs bit.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Yates's
One of two Yates's bars in the city, this one is a conversion of quite a grand building. Sadly, the interior - comprising a large, square bar with various different seating areas, plus a separate mezzanine bar - isn't as well looked after as one might hope. Patio terrace. Total of four handpumps - three traditional (Black Sheep / Yates's Best Bitter / off) and one modern Bombardier one (off). Cheap beer (e.g. £1.99 for the YBB), and not too bad during the day, but almost certainly one to avoid when it gets busy. (NB - Review dates from August 2011.)
