Malden man left this review about Three Wishes

As far as I can make out this is the remaining parts of what was once a Wetherspoons which would have occupied the full site before being subdivided. So it feels and looks like a shop conversion but I suspect looking at the rest of the building that it was purpose built originally.
The Three Wishes goes back a long way once inside and is kitted out with patterned carpets, striped banquettes and timber boarded walls and ceiling. Parts of the ceiling have a collection of feature lampshades and a side wall is full of alcove shelves containing a mixture of items.Several TVs showing sports on the Saturday afternoon.
The bar is along a side wall, three pumps offered Ghost Ship, Tribute and GKIPA.
A routine suburban/station pub which was neither remarkable nor offensive and welcome as there isn’t much else nearby.

Apparently this is due to close by the end of the month.
The word is that the property is owned by London Underground (TFL) just as I suspected.

Visit September 2015
This is one of the 20 condemned leasehold Spoons and one of my favourites. It did not disappoint yesterday as all twelve hand pumps were running and there were six Locale beers on from Bingham, Vale, Windsor & Eton and Twickenham and no doubling up at all. I went for the Bingham Space Hoppy IPA & Coffee Stout (£2.20) and the Twickenham Pale Beauty (£2.05). The Coffee Stout and Pale Beauty were outstanding but the Space Hoppy wasn't as good as I expected although it was perfectly drinkable. With a great range of beers at those prices I couldn't really care less what the interior of the pub is like and I will be sorry to see this one go.

Visit 27th November 2014

The beer selection wasn't as good on this occasion with no Locale beers and three pumps unclipped. The two beers tried were both excellent and I also confirmed that they still do the 50p CAMRA discount on Wednesdays.

Visit 14th February 2014

On arrival here today for the Spoons mini London Festival (Part 3) there were four Twickenham beers on the left bank of six pumps and four of the London ones on the right. I tried the Hopstuff Fusilier, Twickenham Black Eel, Clarence & Frederick's Oatmilk Stout and London Fields Shoreditch Triangle. The Shoreditch Triangle had a bit of a haze but still tasted good and the other three were in superb nick. All four were £1.99 a pint. On this basis I still rate this as one of the better London Spoons and is vastly superior to the majority of the Central London ones. Who needs architectural features to look at anyway?
On a dank rainy day it was also handy being only a few yards from the tube station!

Update 18th July 2013

CAMRA Discount is 50p off real ales on Wednesday.

Visit 01st June 2013

Apart from a Fish and Chip shop (which is actually part of the original station building) and a single office this pub is right next door to Northwood Hills Tube.

It's a shop conversion, but a relatively small one for a Spoons so that there was lots of natural light coming in from the front on a sunny lunchtime.

There were twelve pumps going and the two GK usual suspects were NOT doubled up, but there was a cider or two and just one "Available Soon". To my great relief there was no sign of London Pride or Doombar.

There was a slightly scary looking man with tattoos and long hair (talk about the Pot calling the Kettle black!) giving a young girl a thorough run down of the drinks available, their prices and just about anything else she needed to know about them. I assume the man with the tats is the manager.

My eye was caught by the Windsor and Eton Mild, but I went instead for the Exe Valley Devon Glory at £2.15. This was in excellent condition, but was a bit of a boring brown beer so I wished I had gone for the mild.

This was the best of the three Metroland Spoons visited on the day and I would happily give it another visit.

Not a very inspiring Wetherspoon's but just a square box. There was a fair selection of real ales on but then again it was the London beer festival.
