Pretty standard Spoons. Fairly quiet when I called in for an early breakfast. I didn't notice the beer choice but the food was decent!

Quite a nice Spoons inside. Large main room with a raised area to the right sporting dark wood panelling, bookcases and typical late 90’s JDW interior Spoonerisms. Note the impressive ‘Parkstone and Heatherlands’ wood bar back oval. Four guests available, my Acorn Darkness was in decent shape. Seems like I had a more positive visit here than some others below. 6.5

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Parkstone and Heatherlands (JD Wetherspoon)
This suburban 'spoons is housed in what might be mistaken for an Art Deco cinema but which was actually built as a Co-op store. The interior is dark, but a row of sturdy columns and a slightly raised side area help break up the space a bit, but the seats near the front windows are the pick of the bunch. Reasonable selection of real ales from a total of ten handpumps, and my pint of the festival Brouwerij 't Ij Flink (£2.35) was in good shape.
