This is one of those places where it is really difficult to establish the opening times. WhatPub suggests that it opens at 4pm during the week, their Facebook page suggests that they open at 5:30pm during the week (except Tuesday) and Google suggests that they open at 3pm during the week. Either way, I thought I'd be fairly safe at 8:30pm on a Wednesday.

Sadly, the pub was closed with no indication of when it might open. I even returned later in the evening to find it still closed. Ironically, looking at their Facebook feed, they wanted people to spread the word that they would be open this Wednesday (1 week later), as they were televising a football match. They would be far better spreading the word about the pub's regular opening times.

Another Facebook post asks people to "remember to come into the pub and every other in Blyth or they will be just memories". Whilst I agree with the sentiment, remembering to open the pub at its published opening times would be a useful starting point!
