Now a Craft Union pub with CAsk Marque accreditation, but only Wainwright Gold on at the time of my visit, with Landlord, normally on, temporarily unavailable. The Wainwright was pretty ordinary (NBSS 2.5) and I was glad I only went for a half. Background music was loud, jangly and persistent, and not likely to encourage another visit.

The second pub down from the station and the most 'pub' looking pub in the vicinity. I may be wrong but it seems to be a Robinson's pub as the 3 real ales available were theirs. There are a few outside seats and tables out front and you have to go up a few steps to reach both the seats and the entrance to the pub. Once inside its a fairly standard pub. As with the other pubs here, due to the lack of pubs, you may as well visit it.

The Queens Hotel is found on the Main Road just around the corner from Windermere Railway Station. Outside the front is some patio furniture that is railed off from the busy road. As it was sunny this area was popular with people that were eating the traditional pub food that is priced around £10. The kitchen is open during lunch and early evening periods.
The interior is made up by a bar that runs along the rear wall and faces seating that runs along the front windows. To the left of the bar is an area that houses a pool table and a plasma screen. There is another plasma screen in the bar area and both were showing muted Sky Sports coverage as some low background music played.
The bar is stocked with standard draught and one of the hand pumps was off leaving Theakston’s Best and Old School Brewery’s Textbook as the ale options.
I found the staff to be friendly and would have no problem returning.
