Alan Winfield left this review about John Thompson Inn
This a large pub that has brewed its own beer for years.
The main entrance to this pub is at the back and it is a lot bigger inside than it looks from the outside.
There is a lot of wood pannelling and stone floors making it seem quite dark but i think this adds to the atmosphere of the pub, there are lots of different drinking areas and there is also a large room set aside for diners.
There were about four real ales on the bar but i could'nt see all of them i had a drink of JTS XXXS and this was a really nice drink the othere beer was JTS Gold.
We really liked this pub you could also play board games here which i thought was nice especially on a winters evening.
