Gill Smith left this review about Crown Inn

This pub is in the 2013 Good Beer Guide, and we have been trying to get out to it for a while by bus, and that is quite difficult due to the opening times. It does not open till 17.30 Monday to Saturday, and the only bus, 45, that runs between Helston and Camborne finishes early. We caught the 16.45 from Helston getting there 16.54 so sat in the outside drinking area till it opened, but had to get the last bus out to Camborne at 17.54. The last bus to Helston is 18.22 so you get a little longer if going that way. There is a large car park though and en-suite lodges. The pub had 4 handpumps for cask ale, but they are show only as the beer is dispensed from the cellar, and the St Austell Black Prince (wish St Austell pubs would stock this lovely beer!) and Old Mill Blonde Bombshell were very good. There are a few different drinking areas, and a dining area. There is a pool table and dart board. It is a community pub with a friendly landlord. The ceiling is covered with beermats.
