An odd mixture of styles featured on this building, with an irregular arrangement of seating and (unsurprisingly, mostly) dining areas. However, there are also some tables near the bar for those just looking for a drink. Very bland semi-modern furniture and decor throughout. Just Doom Bar available from the three handpumps, but at least it does do a real ale.

This is a detached Toby Carvery, with patio area. Modern, mainly low-level and in the usual Toby red, white and fake beam decor, this place sits on the site of the old Hurst Corn Mill. The interior is an irregular open room, which extends pretty much all around the serving bar, which has a lounge kind of area at one end and the carvery covering the rest. The service was fine and there were a mix of people in, and some just drinking. The decor has red, red and white patterned wallpaper and old local photos on the walls. There is a nice fireplace and silent TV in the lounge area, along with an array of different seating. A kid's grabbing machine was also present. Beer; usual tap stuuf with GK IPA and a decent enough Wells' Bombardier on handpull. Fair play - there is a drinking area here, but not really my kind of place.

Very disappointing Toby Inn. Waited a while to be seated so I went up for the real ale. M & B house with 2 beers on, Marstons EPA and Marstons Pedigree. Asked for EPA and the server said I wouldn't have that as someone has brought one back. Asked for Pedigree and was served with an unclear glass of beer so I tried it at the bar and it was horrid. An insult to vinegar if that's possible. As she was giving me my change I said I wanted money back. She offered Tetley keg but I declined and did without a drink. Carvery not up to usual standards on the veg. No parsnips or sprouts, but a plus for mashed potato.
