A proper "locals pub", being near all the local amenities. Bus stop, Bakers, Bookmakers, Post Office etc.
This in now the only local pub or club selling Draught Bass, which is kept very well. There's also a guest real ale (usually Courage Best), John Smiths Smooth, Fosters, Kronenbourg, Draught Guinness as well as Thatcher's & Taunton Ciders.
After Blackthorn changed, it was replaced with Thatcher's Dry, which to many is now a better option. There are various other bottled ciders, mainly Thatchers, on offer too.
There is a Skittle alley & function room upstairs. Occasional live music on a Sunday afternoon. One of the few pubs in the area with Sky Sports TV, two Sky boxes and three big screen TV's.
This pub has what is probably the best enclosed beer garden in the Brislington area. There are Darts, Crib & Skittle teams as well.

The Sandringham is a large and decent looking pub.
Once inside there is an L shaped room which is carpeted, there is comfy bench seating to the front and on the left side, the bar faces inwards, there is smaller room to the front right.
There was one real ale on the bar which was Courage Best, this was a decent drink.
I was happy enough having a drink in this pub.

A basic, no frills, Victorian boozer on a corner plot in Sandy Park Road, it is quite a large establishment and includes a skittle alley as well as a couple of good sized bars.
The main bar is a basic affair in a sort of staggered L-shape, with old green carpet on the floors, rough plasterwork on the walls and an old brick fire-place to one side. A notice board advertised a Sunday meat raffle which always strikes me as a sign of a proper local’s pub, and in addition to that there were a few local photos on the walls. There was some old bench seating around the perimeter and plenty of red chairs.
A few TV’s were dotted around, many showing sports channels, but the volume was off and this was not intrusive. A number of fairly light were strung up above the bar and there was a darts board at one end. I think there may also have been a few more darts boards in the above bar, although we did not investigate this.
Beer choice was a little disappointing with Courage Best being the only real ale on. Ciders were Thatcher’s Dry and Thatcher’s Traditional.
