Clearly an old building amongst the srawling office complexes nearby ,it's a Chef & Brew from Greene King and is set back from the Grand Union Canal,so doesn't offer boating views.
The low ceiling give some character although the wooden beams look faux, there is however a clear drinking area around the L shaped quarry tiled front section, while the dining area is along to the right side in a seperate section. The drinking area has mainly higfh tables, there is a door to a large decking area outside but unattractive as the traffic on the Oxford Road thunders past. The large car park seperates the pub from the canal, but you need to book your car in at the bar,or face a fine.
The muzak was mindless and there is a corporate feel here. Two ale GK IPA and Old Golden Hen (dull brew, clear, instantly forgettable NBSS 2.5).
The Uxbridge pub scene is dull and this one therefore fits in very well.No need to revisit despite the cheery welcome.

This is still a Chef & Brewer pub, with only Greene King ales on when I visited during a midweek lunchtime. The ales were Old Speckled Hen, Old Golden Hen, and GK IPA (£1.69 a half). I didn't see a menu, but at the far end of the pub, just past where the bar counter's sited, there's a room with all tables laid for diners, and exclusively for diners judging by the "wait to be seated" sign by its entrance.
The rest of the pub is a rambling affair with (mainly fake) wooden post and beams all over the place. It's got a few tall tables/tall stools, and one of those ridiculous tall tables with tall backless benches, but the majority of the furnishings are normal tables and chairs.
This is clearly a very old canalside/riverside pub. It has some nice outside seating next to the water, but also unfortunately next to the busy main road. There's nothing inside that interested me either - certainly not the ale selection.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Swan and Bottle
Quite an attractive old Chef & Brewer pub, located between the River Colne and the Grand Union Canal, although the patio beer garden to one side doesn't make as much of its position as one might have expected. The large interior has a low ceiling and various different seating / dining areas, furnished with a mixture of the traditional and modern. Background music. Standard menu, with a few summer specials. Pride (£3.68), Bombardier and Old Rosie cider available from three of the four handpumps.
