Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Barbican

Large town centre bar with a modern look. Extra seating area off to one side and a pool table at the far end. Standard Stonegate menu. Starting to get noisy when I visited early on a Friday night. Slightly surprised to see four handpumps, three of which were on, with Greene King IPA, Hardy & Hansons St George's and Courage Best (£2.05) available.

Old Boots left this review about The Barbican

Two rooms on a split level, the counter runs down one side apart from the bit with a table football table and a booth in funny leatherette in the window. Conventional high and low tables and chairs with a couple of long tables with equally long benches each side in the middle of the room. Decor is a bit modern industrial in places but mixed with chandeliers and gilded mirrors. Lurking among the forest of tall keg founts are four hand pumps with an unsurprising choice of Greene King IPA, Courage Best a St Georges special badged from Hardy & Hanson so probably Greene King IPA again, and one reversed clip. I didn't complain at £1.50 a pint served by very pleasant bar staff and the beer quality was fine, so not quite as expected given the style of the place. Cask may be a new thing as it was proclaimed on a small blackboard on the counter. The pool table at the back appears to take up a dance floor judging by the glitter-ball and lights above and a DJ edifice beside it.
