Graham Coombs left this review about White Swan Inn
Roadside inn, uninspiring from the outside but nice enough within. Entry is on to a small central bar, with a pubby sort of room to the left and an unfussy restaurant to the right. At rear is a smart gravelled outdoor area, although this suffers a bit from traffic. Several draught beers from the Marston's range - Cumberland Ale sampled and in fine form (Cask Marque listed). The menu is a little better than traditional pub, without straying into gastro territory, and the food was very good indeed. A worthwhile pitstop.
