Popped in due to its * CAMRA Inventory listing. Enjoyably simple place - the attractive bar, long banquette and intricate cornices make it worthwhile, just a shame that the woodwork has been glooped with white paint, better than grey I suppose. Even got a drinkable half of cask, Greedy King have downplayed their brewing of Fireside and it fooled me into picking it over the other more local one (NBSS 3.5). Worth putting on the list. 6.5

Not a bad place with front and rear rooms with the bar middle right Three hand pumps, one @ 4.5% ABV which is rare in Dumfries. Decent cider on keg as well.
