Two bar pub looking very modernised on first glance but it’s mostly just grey paint, partly clear windows and modern floor treatments, In the larger rear bar there are three pulls serving Ossett, Wold Top, Black Sheep Bitter on this occasion, and three T-bars, the front bar only has a T-Bar. Otherwise traditionally furnished and comfortable, reasonably good beer quality. Handily nearly next door to the Sun where the the beer was shockingly nowhere near GBG standard.

The Lord Nelson is fairly close to the cathedral it a small and fairly basic one room pub, there is a pool table at the front of the pub and there is only one real ale available this was John Smiths cask this was a decent enough drink.
